The Print Room presents these two brilliant short plays by legend Harold Pinter in a double-bill featuring One For The Road and Victoria Station.
One For The Road is Pinter's classic drama; overtly about a family held hostage, the play is an analogy for the horrors of living within a dictatorship.
In the play, a family are separated into individual rooms and interrogated but merciless government minions. This play is a forty-minute edge-of-your-seat drama, it's intense and epic, widely regarded to be Pinter's mini-masterpiece.
Victoria Station is a comic drama about a merciless (and possibly psychotic) minicab controller, and his battle with a recalcitrant driver under his employ.
The driver has an insensate fare in the back of the cab, and he refuses to abandon her to the elements and her fate, despite the protestations of the controller over the radio.
Wednesday, 28th September 2011 from 19.30 @ The Print Room, 34 Hereford Road , Notting Hill, W2 5AJ
How Much: £15.00 (Highest Price) , £12.00 (Concessions)
The Notting Hill Arts Club hand-picks a selection of indie, rock and post-punk bands who he reckons could be the next Oasis/Libertines/Jesus & Mary Chain.
With past DJs including Courtney Love, Mick Jones and Mercury Rev, there is no doubt that McGee still has the clout to attract some of the biggest names in the business.
Great DJs, great bands and a host of indie celebrities battling it out on the dancefloor - what more could you possibly want? You want it all free? Well you're in luck because now it is!
